How do you 3 hole punch a folder ?

im in 8th grade. So I'm required to have 3 hole punch folders. But my dad had to be frugal and bought folders without holes. I'm supposed to have a zipper binder for my holders and i have that. So is there any possible way to put the holes in the folder my self ?

usually the folder has a metal clamp to hold pages with 3 holes in them

You could buy a hollow metal punch from a hardware store and punch some holes with a hammer by putting the folder on a piece of wood, if you carefully mark the folder

You are a good kid to try, but it is best if you ask your dad to swap the folders for the right ones
