  2. You will find many, MANY different opinions on the best DVD burning programs.  For first timers I do recommend Nero 7 (using the Nero vision portion of this package).  A couple small tips I can offer as a person that bought 50 discs and got to disc 25 before I had a copy that didn't make me irate are as follows.

    1) Use DVD-R discs..you will find that these tend to play in just about any DVD player, DVD-RW are nice but just a little on the pricey side.

    2) Make sure you set your video format to NTSC...again, just seems to work better for most DVD players (side note:depending on your video file, at the final step before burning you may be informed that your video contains more PAL than NTSC and would you like to switch to PAL, select no).

    3) Avoid the ellabrate animated menus that Nero offers unless you don't need your movie for a week.

    4) If you experience the occasional problem of; you burn a DVD it looks good but  the audio is out of sync and when you review the file on your computer their seems to be no problem, don't fret...I found a little program called WinAVI Video Converter that is a quick download.  Once installed you just select the convert to DVD option, set the output format to MPEG 2 and run the program.  It takes about 20 mins to convert the movie and will create another copy of your movie.  Try burning this new copy and your problem should be gone.  If you find that WinAVI copied the movie into four different files, you just need to change the output file size limit .  When done burning the movie, delete the converted file due to the fact it will be about 4gb.

Sorry if this answer is very long, but I know how aggravating it can be to finally have what you think to be a playable DVD and get five mins in and it starts to c**p out.  A normal DVD burn will take about an hour and a half...don't try and push for minutes with other programs because your video quality will suffer.  The programs I mentioned do have trial downloads...and (whispers) you should be able to find a key crack online to make that trial go a few years longer.  Just do not download ANY program that claims to have it's key crack with it...your just asking for trouble.  Good luck and hoped I helped! and yes my spelling was very very bad.

  3. Throwing them in a fire always helps

And no, english and chinese movies burn equally bright. You can test this by lighting a fire in a fireplace. It let's you view it from the side and get a good line of sight on them.

Haha, all jokes aside, there are programs that you will need in order to burn DVDs. Nero is the one I am most familiar with. You will need to buy and download this program though. Everything you need to know will be explained through the program.

  4. it pretty much the same. sometimes u need a different program. for my cds i use windows media player and my dad wanted me to burn him a few videos for his employees at work and we tried windows media player and it didnt work but it worked on roxio... hope this helps!
