How do you 'turn javascript on'?

Question

Youtube isn't working for me for some reason. It says:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

How do I fix this?

It's most likely that your flash player is old, click the 'Get the latest Flash Player' link, download and install it.  Then see if it works.

If it doesn't work then go on your browser's help section (using found by pressing F1)  and search for turning on Javascript, and follow the instructions.
