You dial the star * then you dial the numbers 6 & 9.

It will tell you who called, if the info is available.

What do you mean how do you *69 a number??  You dial "*" then "69"... if you don't have that service, then you can't do it.  It's part of a package of services that you'll get from your local phone company.  You have to pay for it.

I have the entire package - I especially love the caller ID.  The service I love to use now is the Call Acceptance Service.  I program in 12 numbers that can reach me on my land line...all others are blocked.  I get NO SOLICITORS that way!  Everyone else knows my cell phone number... so family and acquaintances can get through to my cell anytime.

It said your call cannot be completed because you are not part of that service... you have to sign up for it through your phone company and pay for it on a monthly basis with your phone bill!!

first that just tells you who it is provided it is another land line

call phone comp most have somthing you can push on your phone and after three calls it will cause the person who is doing it to be charged with missuse of the telephone.

first you turn on the phone.

the you press the little button that looks like a *.

then you dial a 6 and then a 9.

a recording will tell you the number. unless the pranksters knew what they were doing, by pressing *67, which blocks the number from being recorded.

I think you are thinking of *67, which says "Restricted" or "Unknown" when they call. I don't think there is anyway to find out but if people are harassing you, go to the school office(if you are in school and suspect that these people are in the same school).

Also, you can change your phone number. This might be a hassle but I would think that is better than letting these people with no respect push you around.

You can also check to see if your phone has a block on the calls it receives.
