  1. Balancing your equation for only protein is basic math.  Multiply your pounds of alfalfa x .14 and pounds SBM x .40, add the two answers together and divide by the total pounds.   Hopefully you will be ready for the tougher questions that require balancing the ration for multiple components which include NE, ADF, NDF, Ca, P.  

    By the multiple of questions that you need answered indicates that you may not really have much interest in this class and studying is a bit boorish to you.  I would encourage you to hit the books and keep studying.  These are not tough questions and I feel that if these are difficult for you at this level how are you preparing yourself for the higher level classes when the questions really do become challenging.  Keep studying and good luck.
