Unfortunately either offshore or dividing it into 30 different banks domestically would do it. The FDIC insures up to 100K per account. Therefore 30 accounts would cover that amount.

If you want to deposit that much in cash, then you're going to have to explain exactly where it all came from and precisely why you had it in cash.

Unless you're just afraid of the institution currently holding it going bust, in which case I suggest opening several accounts and splitting it up.

Why don't you invest it in property investments. Safe and legal. There are many more opportunities to invest.
