How do you Tweek a home radio for better reception?

Have a nice radio and CD player, nothing is wrong with it just want to get better reception to pick up local stations(at lest). Tin foil is an idea but I think tech got better then that.

  1. My brother stripped the ends off of speaker wire and tied it around the end of the antennae...? Not sure if it works but he thinks it does...


  2. Have you tried the C.Crane company??  They make a lot of FM and AM antennas.
