How do you achieve the crazy hair look?

I have three layered hair that's just above my shoulders ( kinds short)

My hair is extremely straight, but I want it to look kinda fun/ funky/ spiked/ messed up but still okay to wear around in public, any ideas?

With mine, if I want it to look messy I wash it, towel dry, add mousse and then sleep on it when it's damp.  A little spray wax in the morning to get a nice shape and then it's good to go.

you can use styling wax to make pieces stick out.  Bedhead mack daddy manipulator works good if you rub it through your hair.  You can also blow dry your hair upside down and spray volumizing spray from tre seme on it to get some major volume.  You can also spray the surfer hair spray or use the surfer hair cream from garnier fructose to get a more messy look.  One thing that really helps is to tease your hair by grabbing a piece of hair and combing upward with a fine toothed comb.  One other thing that you can do is flip the ends of each layer out with a curling iron.  If you hairspray that will hold your hair really firm like for spiking long hair use got2be glued hairspray. Tre seme hairspray is also good and not sticky

I might be able to help! I do my hair like this every day so it looks like I just rolled out of bed! haha, but my hair is kinda shorter...Anyway :

- First, I get some ROOT LIFTER and I spritz here and there and lift it up

- Next I STRAIGHTEN it

- Then I get some MOLDING WAX and just get a little on my finger tips and run them through my hair

- After that I TEASE it with a comb and spray it with HAIRSPRAY (but don't just spray. you'll have to mold it while spraying. like say you wanted it spikey in one part - hold that part up with your fingers, spray, then fluff it up a bit so it looks fringey.)

And then throughout the day remember to toss it around with your hands because somtimes mine sorta...deflates, since it's been all windy and rainy these past few days.
