How do you act cool when you are mad at your spouse?

And you know what you say will inflict an argument, so you just want to leave it alone and figure it out yourself

  1. You will need a cool head - almost anything is considered legally DV these days. Including saying things that arent liked or shouting back - country dependant, advise you check your laws.

    Try remembering that - that might help you to want to reign yourself in.  


  2. Just be honest. Tell them you're upset and that you need to work it out with yourself. Reassure them that you still love them and tell them you don't want to say anything that will escalate the situation. They should understand and respect that and give you your space as long as it's said respectfully.

  3. Take deep breaths and figure out how to get away like maybe going to the gym or on a walk to think things through until you can be rational about it and not so angry every time whatever it is comes to mind. It won't help anything if you go into the argument all fired up and raring to go. Things are a lot easier to get over if one person at least has a cool head.
