How do you actually tell if you have a cavity?

i have a toothache that comes and goes. it basically only hurts when i chew on the exact tooth with salty foods. it's really odd! do you think i have a cavity?? when i suck air in my mouth (the age old test) it doesn't hurt.

  1. cavites are usually a brown color. but not all brown spots are cavities some are juswt stains. so the best way to find out is to see your dentist about it. they will be able to tell if it is a cavity and if it isn't try to figure our what is really wrong


  2. um it may be a cavity

    because you may not have cleaned very good on your teeth after eating

    so you might have a cavity due to decaying food on your tooth

    & you should always floss too

    but the best thing to do is go to the dentist for an appointment

    ASAP

    because if you dont get the cavity filled soon then it can spread to your tooth nerves & then you;ll have to have a root canal

    & those suck

    so get it checked out soon

  3. iff yourr tooth is veryy sensitivee whenn you eat or driink. orr iff you cann tell that there is a little holee in it. just go see a dentiist they will fixx everythingg :]
