I have a 2003 gary fisher tassajara that i just got and it has a rock shox pilot xc fork. It has zero air in it and i need to add some but it is quite difficult with a normal schrader valved bike pump, any help here? Do I really need to use a shock pump for this? I only need like 20 psi in the fork.

Also is it possible to change the oil in the fork easily?

  1. The old school pumps have heads that fit, but no way to see how much pressure you ve got. I have been using one of those car air compressors. Have to be carful though because you don't want to go over n blow those seals. Also its tough because a lot of air escapes when you take the pump out. You can get it to work though. Thats me take wit out usin the real tool.
