How do you add and/or create custom songs in guitar hero 3 for xbox360?

Ive seen people program their own songs and add them to the game which seems like a lot of fun and in my opinion beats the h**l out of the small amount of dowloadable content for the game but I have no idea how to do it myself.

you can download stuff from the market place but to create custom tracks u need a modded ps2.

Modding your Xbox to play burned disks I'd imagine. It's quite a bit of work and will get you kicked off Live if you run any hardware mods, so I'd stay away from it unless you are really dedicated.

It's easier on a PS2, but look it up for more info.
