There are 2 ways:

Get a 2.5" sata HDD and replace it with the one you have

or

Buy an external Hard Drive(a usb one) and out it in the usb port

you can not add extra memory to the PS3.

you cannot, you can only change out the hard drive(storage space), which there is a how to in the intructions, and on plenty of websites online( i saw it in Gamespot)
