click on their avartar and then click add to your account.hope this helps.

for the IM you click near messenger on the Contacts button, and just add them, you type in the information it asks for and save at the bottom of that screen.  

On the email, well you go to your address page, and click add a contact, on the top left of that screen where your friends email addresses are...
