  1. Ms.

  2. Proper would be Ms.

  3. Ms is correct.

  4. You are right. Go ahead.

  5. Yes.

"Mrs." is for married women.  Although when I was married I didn't like it, and preferred Ms.

"Miss" is for women who have not been married.

"Ms." can be used in any situation.

  6. yes you are correct

    x

  7. Yo, Lady!

It's worked for me in the past. It has all the ingredients.

    'Yo'....as in the greeting.

'Lady' as in her gender, without making reference to her marital status.

However, appartently does not go down well with Chelsea postcodes. ;o)

  8. yea thats  correct.

  9. Yes, it would be Ms.Jones. Miss if she is unmarried and Mrs if she is married. So unfair though - men are always just Mr if they are married or not!

  10. Yea Dear Ms. Jones is right i think

  11. You could say: To or Dear; and then their first-initial followed by their surname eg: Dear, S. Smith. When you'd need to put their name in the letter, try replacing it with: ma'am.

Please note: it used to be proper, to refer to a woman whose marital status you didn't know as: Mrs.

  12. Use her first and last name.  or Ms.

  13. Yes that is correct.

  14. Just put dear miss/Mrs. Jones. It's perfectly correct to do so and covers all your bases.

  15. Ms.
