  1. google it, really you have to learn about it before you do it.. Good Luck

  2. Contact a reputable adoption agency or adoption attorney.  There are numerous websites that can direct you.  Another way to find a good one is to talk to social workers that conduct home studies.

PLEASE do your research.  There are good agencies/attorneys out there, and there are some that aren't so good.  Don't just blindly go with the first place you contact.

An adoption can range in cost from about $10,000 to upwards of $40,000.  It depends upon the needs of the birth mother, attorney costs, agency fees, travel costs, as well as about a page worth of other costs that you are likely to incur.  You will feel like they are nickel and diming you to death when you see all of the costs (e.g., nanny fees, filing fees, putative father database check fees, etc.).  You will forget all about that when you meet your new child.

  3. You have to go through alot just got to Child services but the child you get you may want to know what its been trough

  4. Probably somewhere between $25,000-$30,000. That's including about $100 application fee, $350 Homestudy preparation fee, $1,600 program fee, $500 attorney fee, and so on. Although there are loans you can apply for, some things you may be reimbursed for and so on.........

    Here's the best site I found. http://www.theadoptionguide.com/tools/pl...

However I also found this one in which you can get subsidies, tax credit and loan if you/your family apply. That information is at the following site: http://costs.adoption.com/articles/the-c...

    Good Luck!

  5. The adoptions which cost money are the ones through private agencies or internation adoptions.  We adopted a little girl who was in government foster care, and there is no cost associated with that type of adoption (we live in Alberta).  There are many children in government care waiting for homes, so if you are willing to take children older than 2, that's the place to go.
