  1. a good starting point would be to look for adoption agencies in your area. they can go over the specifics. the cost depends on if you do international or domestic adoption and where internationally you go if you go that route. my friend adopted from Russia and with travel and everything it cost her about $30,000. she does get some back in tax deductions and from her employer though.

  2. You can do private or state adoption. Private will cost you up to 20,000....state adoption is tax payer funded, so it is often free or very low cost. You would contact a private agency or your local DSS/CPS.

  3. I'd go with that Ellie girl... paying $20K for a baby is ******* stupid. Waiving all fees is totally rad.

You don't want a 3rd c-section either huh.. oh yeah, you're afraid of having another boy lol... if you find out, tell me! I'm afraid of the 3rd c-section part. Victoria Beckam h/e you spell her name was urged by her doctor not to go for a fourth child because she could possibly have to have an emergency hysterectomy. And I know that my 1st c-section was NOT necessary.

  4. You could adopt through the foster care system. You would need to contact your local Social Services Office and speak to someone in their foster care or child services unit. Often the adoption fees are waived and there are caseworkers willing and able to assist you in filing all the necessary paperwork. It involves having a home study done and completing a background check, but often placement can be within months, with the actual adoption being finalized a year after placement.

  5. I'm sorry, but the way that you worded your question sounds like you are shopping for a purse or something.  :)

Babies generally get adopted out very quickly so it may be difficult to find a child in that age range.  Older children (3 years and up) are always looking for a loving home.
