  1. your hands need to be angled towards your target!

  2. HEY  I HAVE A LITTLE ADVICE IF YOU WANT A REALLY SOFT VOLLEYBALL TRY A VOLLEY LITE THEY REALLY WORK TRUST ME!! YOU CAN BUY THEM AT SPORTS AUTHORITY!!

  3. i think it has to do with the way you position your body.

    .... hmm i think that's it.

  4. its not with your hands- its with your whole body.

    your shoulders mainly though.

you have to square up with your target.

say youre in 4 (left front) and you want to hit to 5 (left back) on the other team- you want your left (if youre a righty) shoulder to the net always when hitting and hit straight.  if you want to hit to 1 (the one in the server's position)- left shoulder( again if youre a righty)  to net and turn your body while spiking to the line.

tipping- thats just with turning and your fingers. it just kind of easy to aim with tipping?

serving- im a full rot. setter so im always looking at the other servers feet for which direction theyre serving in.  im also a placement server so pretty much (if youre right-handed) your left foot- wherever it is pointing- that is where the ball will most likely go because that is the direction your body is squared up in. if youre a structured server.

  5. You need to stay behind the ball for starters. If you do this then you will have the view of the ball and the court. You simply need to tweek your hand and wrist to the area on the court you want the ball to go.

  6. squar up with the net!!

  7. spike is when you dive and pop the ball up just before it hits the ground [not very painless] tip i am not sure and to serve you have to be the server and you throw the ball up then hit it over

  8. its all in the positioning of the elbow and the angle it makes to your shoulder

  9. You have to point your body to where you want the ball to go. Then just make sure you follow through straight (for a serve.) For a tip point your finger tips where you want the ball to go then push it there. For a spike point your body and hands to the space where you want the ball to go. Then you should be ok!

  10. you set ur feet and ur legs where u want the ball to go ang swing straight through!!!   :-)

    ♥♥

  11. well you would need a person who can show you how to do it becouse just typing it is very hard to form into words.

  12. with yer hands

  13. Without getting into a lot of detail, "palm to target."  If you want the ball to go somewhere, make sure your palm swings (or is aimed when tipping) at the target.  Example:  If i want to hit the left back defender, my palm will swing at the defender, regardless of body position. (Research the cross body swing).

  14. I played highschool volleyball team for 4 years. Was MVP my senior year and to get that far I did research in the library on different techniques, and practiced, practiced, practiced. I use to dig the ball off the roof of my house and just keep it going; setting, digging every night after school. I also practiced my serves and gave my all at practices. I loved the sport.

  15. Wow i'm getting ill from some of the answers given about volleyball.

A hitting, tipping and serving the ball can be afected by a number of things.

As simple as you tipping the ball with your hand/fingers with a lttle flick to the positionheight of your shoulder when hitting or serving.  Your whole body and the position that each part takes can effect it.  Your arm swing is also a big part of the direction of the ball.

For a jump serve you could have a perfect toss perfect approach, great arm speed but if your should is to low theres a good chance the ball is going right into the net.

    Hope this helps a bit.
