How do you all feel about colt brennan's awesome performance yesterday against the colts in the HOF game

He went 9-10 two touchdowns and 125 yards passing.

Most of the guys he was playing against will be working construction jobs in September.  Then again, some of the guys on his team will too and he wasn't  using all of his playbook.

Nothing counts until week 1.

Lets start with that.. His performance was against a third.. maybe even fourth string defense.

but to say that he didn't perform, would be wrong..

I think his performance would've had more value if he played against their starters.. for at least a series or two.

However, the people that won't admit he did well, are just stupid.

I can guarantee that some quarterbacks would've done bad, maybe even terrible, their first time, out there.

So the point: He did well for a [Preaseason] game!

It showed what he has the talent to do but against a banged up Colts D it's not enough to say hes an elite QB

Very nice performance from a very good (underrated NFL) player.  Definitely a great way to start in the NFL.

However, it was against a 3rd string defense during a pre pre-season game = means almost nothing,

I'm not a Redskins fan but I was impressed with the passing game and the whole team for that matter. It doesn't matter if it was preseason or it was against this string or that string. The fact they only had two incompletions in their first game under a new system and a rookie head coach says something.

it really doesn't mean much of anything, but i am of the opinion that he can be an effective nfl quarterback...he is short, yes, and has a bit of an awkward delivery, but he makes quick decisions, can elude the rush, and is very intelligent, i don't see what's not to like about the guy

it was a good performance but preseason doesnt mean much unless ur competing for a spot on the team. i was more focused on mike hart anyway cause he played great and needed to cause he has competition 4 a spot on the team either him or keith.

Well he looked ok not bad for a rookie playing against the fourth string but goes to show you he does have the tools to be an NFL QB and under June Jones system in Hawaii gave him an edge but his future is bright if he learns from Zorn how to be a QB in the NFL and could possibly take the starting job from Campbell if he's not careful
