what are the steps to altar serving a wedding?

If you know how to serve a Mass, then a wedding isn't that different.  Some priests will have you stand next to them to hold the rings on a plate, maybe hold the holy water to bless them during the vows.  Ask the priest what he wants you to do other than what is normally done at Mass.  It isn't that hard.  Just try to be invisible.

If you've never served Mass, it honestly would be too hard to tell you.  Good luck!

It depends on the parish. Ask the officiant, he will be able to tell you. If you're just doing Liturgy of the Word then you'll need to hold candles for the readings (if your church does that), and possibly hold a tray for the exchange of rings.

Otherwise it's same as a mass but with the possibility of the tray.
