if you are older than him, laugh at him/her and act like you're more important than him/her. trust me, it works, I've done it. just laugh and say, "what would you know?" or something and then chat with your friends and do something else.

if you are younger, sorry, not much you can do, other than tease him/her about people s/he may like from the opposite gender.
