How do you apply at greater union cinemas in NSW?

1.  Do a resume

2.  Ring the cinemas closest to you check if the Manager is in

     (if is check if the Manager is around all day and has any

     available time to see you).

3.  Take a copy of your resume, dress for an interview and go

     down to the cinema and ask to speak to the Manager;

     asks if any current positions; any future positions; if

     application form is available to fill out; ask if there is any

     volunteer work you can do to increase your chances there;

     any apprenticeship/traineeship available and when;

     explain that you want a job with their company giving

     information on what you can bring to them; e.g. honest,

     hardworking, reliable, punctual; etc.

Write out a resume and and take it to one of the cinemas and ask to see the manager. If he/she is not available, you may be asked to leave your details, do so, then call back within a day to ask the manager if they got the resume and would they consider an interview with you. If you really want to work there, keep applying. Most cinemas do have a minimum age limit for ushers of 18.

You could also ring the head office of Greater Union and ask if you could submit a resume in case any jobs come up.
