  1. 1st step is to join the post office

  2. Several steps need to be taken:  first, workout hard and get pumped up, the use of minor steroids helps.  Next, become a metro sexual and spend some time on your appearance, big hair counts.  Wear provocative clothing that accentuates your built body.  Have cosmetic work done on your face to enhance your curb appeal.  Lastly, pick a busy corner in the city to stand on and pose like you're in a competition.  SAS recruiters are always cruising the streets looking for the very best men who fit their standards, and this is the best way to get noticed.

  3. There is no ELITE police in the UK, only many departments that you can apply to join after you complete the 2 year probationary period.

As for the SAS... Normal entry is usually gained after serving in another "front line" unit. These are normally the Parachute regiment, Fusiliers, Royal Marines, RAF Regiment etc.

Fitness levels within these units are already at a high standard, but the SAS take fitness to another level. Also you need to be mentally agile. Some SAS/SBS men are quite unassuming in their appearance and do not look like GYM freaks! remember that these men are sometimes required to intergrate in normal society, part of this mean not being noticed and muscle bound men are not very good at hiding in public. That doesn't mean being muscular will go against an entrant, it only means that it will not get you any better chance of gaining entry into the SAS.

    The following links may help.....

  4. You don't. They pick you and give you a chance to tryout after you are already in and have already done well.

Steriod boy who mentioned that in another answer would never make it. There are a million guys who are big and beefy would would be just fine carrying a weapon.... but what cuts them out of the crowd? No it is physical stamina that counts. The kind that lets you keep going and going no matter what.

Mental stamina is the biggest part. Being able to keep going. Being intelligent and being able to think outside the box.

  5. There's no such thing as the Elite Police Force in the UK.

You join the police, then after your two years probationary period, you can apply for the various departments like Firearms or Tactical Aid Units.

For the SAS, you have to join the armed forces, you may then be selected if you meet the VERY high criteria.
