  1. If i was you i would have someone who knows how teach me in person. Until then just have a ski shop or resort wax it for you.

  2. Make sure you go only in one direction.  Then after you have enough on there you rub it with a clean dry cloth also in one direction.  It's good to have a hot wax done every so often.  Most resorts offer this service for a small fee.

  3. WELL I USED TO WORK IN A SKI SHOP. YOU CAN BUY SPRAY ON WAXES WHICH IN MOST SNOW CAN LAST QUITE A FEW RUNS, BUT IF YOU WANNA BE THERE ALL DAY YOU MIGHT HAVE TO REAPPLY IT. THE BEST WAX I WOULD SAY IS HOT WAX. ITS REALLY EASY TO DO. YOU BUY THE WAX WHICH USUALLY COMES IN A BLOCK AND YOU NEED A HOT IRON. YOU DONT WANT THE IRON. TURN ON THE IRON AND PRESS THE WAX AGAINST THE HOT SIDE SO THAT IT DRIPS IT ONTO THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE SKIS. THE MAKE SURE THE IRON IS NOT TOO HOT ADN RUN IT OVER THE SKIS MAKING SURE NOT TO LEAVE THE IRON IN ONE SPOT FOR TOO LONG SO YOU DONT BUBBLE THE SKI. AFTER THE WAX IS TOTALLY PRED ACROSS  THE SKI YOU WANNA GET SOMTHING FLAT AND WITH A STRAIGHT EDGE.(LIKE A RULER, THEY HAVE PLASTIC PIECES MADE FOR WAXING YOU CAN BUY) HOLD IT SIDEWAYS STRAIGHT UP ADN RUN IT FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER, GOING IN ONE DIRECTION. IT WILL TAKE SOME OF THE WAX OFF THE SKI, AND WHEN IT ALL EVEN UR DONE. THAT'LL LAST A FEW TRIPS. SOMETIMES THE WHOLE SEASON.

  4. well well well i guy is askin about waxing now thats funny id love to see that its really easy but very painful first off u want to clean the area (too much oils on the skin wont stick) then u can us wax hot or cold id say hot works better and less feeling place the wax on the area u want the hair removed then place the wax strip on firmly rub back and forth a few time this gets all the hairs u want and it also warms it more do not forget to put on the after lotion this take the red out and help cool the pain good luck tell me how it gos

  5. Place your skiis on a surface that will support the pair with the bases up, Use an iron that is hot enough to melt wax, place the wax on the iron and drip it on the ski bases in a "s" pattern. Apply the iron to the wax and melt it into the bases, move the iron quickly over the wax drops so they melt. Do not leave the iron in one place as it may damage the base.  When the wax has cooled, scrape the wax off to a thin layer, remove all wax from the ski edges. Use a plastic scraper on the edges, a metal putty knife wider than your skiis can be used on the bottoms.

Racers will then use a brass suede brush to give the wax a texture, I don't bother since I teach instead of racing.  If you are just a recreational skier, an all temperature wax or canning paraffin will work just fine. It takes about 10 hot wax times to saturate your bases and give a good glide to the skiis.
