  1. call them up and say i want cash for that artical and if they dont give it find out if you would have a chance at winning your mony at court

  2. Payment should have been discussed and agreed prior to submission of your article.

Editors receive many articles for which no payment is expected.   You cannot blame the editor if no payment agreement was reached before submission.

Many freelances need a portfolio of published clips to they can break into the paying market -- so they get started by just trying to work with editors to get their articles published in small newspapers or magazines.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned....and use the published clip when you approach the next editor with an article or story idea.  Tell that editor that you have been published in XYZ magazine and ask what is the rate of payment for your article idea.

Good luck, Pooh Bear, I hope this answer helps you in your writing ventures.

  3. E-mail him,and if you don't get an answer go to see him in person.

  4. Did you write it with the condition that you will be paid? If not then the publisher is not obliged to pay you. But if yes then you should be able to ask them for payment. Write a letter or an email.

  5. ask with your mouth.
