How do you ask out a guy?

Apparently I'm in love with my best friend I've known ever since I we were in diapers. He is just like a brother to me and we do practically everything together. Just last year we started liking each other. Everytime our friends say, "You guys look like a cute couple!" or "When are you gonna ask her out?" and stuff like that we just can't look at each other and we act shy or embarassed or...i don't even know how I feel!!! We both like each other, that's for sure but I just can't figure out the right words to ask him out. Its usually the guy that asks out the girl....atleast thats what I no, but I really need your help!!!

I think that you should think about it first because you are best friends and you don't want to mess up a friendship if something does not work out then you won't feel so bad...but once you have thought about it and if you feel like it is a right decision then tell him how you feel he should understand because after all you are bestfriends with hi...GOOD LUCK
