  1. id leave a little nice note saying like dear daddy blah blah an finish with i love you and thanks an loads of kisses, works for me:)

  2. From a mums point of view I would suggest that if there is a chance he will say no, offer to help with chores so you can earn the money. Most parents would see this as a positive thing.

    You could try:

    Washing up

    Doing the laundry

    Washing the car

    Vacuuming

My 9 year old washes the evening dinner dishes for a £1 a time, (£7 over the week), and cleans the car for £5.

If you need the cash quick go round your neighbourhood with a sponge and bucket and offer to wash the neighbours cars or mow their lawns.

  3. just ask him when he's in a goood mood,

if he wants to give u the money then he will,

if he doesn't then he wont, it probably wont matter wht time u ask him.

  4. Well, you show them that you are making really good grades in your English reading and composition classes. (First you will have to learn when to use the word "your" and when to use "you're." There is a significant difference. Learn the difference between "there," "their," and "they're.") Good grades in other classes would help as well.

  5. o.k. so your mum says ask your dad. now you know whom to approach with the asking for pocket money. best time is when you see him in a good mood then I would just tell him that there is really something you would like to buy and that you would appreciate it if he would give you pocket money for chores  you are willing to do around the house.I am sure you will come to an agreeable amount if you were to discuss this with your father. If not then I suggest you ask for the really cool thing for your birthday,or xmas. You could even ask extended family members to get it as a gift on one of those occasions. where there is a will there is a way.So Good Luck! I hope you are successful.

  6. i have to say reading your question took me right back to when i had pocket money!

we got our pocket money every saturday and we all hated asking my dad for it, really i think it is something that should be earned or given, you should not feel like a beggar but that was how i felt.

looking back i should of done things to earn the money and then i wouldnt of felt bad asking for it!

you could say to your dad that you will do a few chores a week to earn your pocket money and then say the day when you need it?

you could just keep asking your dad for money and then i think he would be gladly giving you pocket money!

maybe you could ask your mum and dad to sit down with you and you could all discuss it, how much it will be, when you will recieve it and what you have to do to get it, like chores etc!

i thought parents were monsters but alot of the time they are just forgetful!

  7. Do something for him like chores.

  8. Carefully and very, very politely?

  9. butter him up with some breakfast in bed or summat when he's in a good mood and ask plz can i have some pocket money if i help around.

  10. Explain how much that item would mean to you and how happy you would be if you got it. keep pestering them thats what i did as a kid and it got me what i wanted :D

  11. Ask him when he's relaxed, like at breakfast on the weekend or something. I didn't get what you meant by asking how to ask for pocket money. Thats easy. All you have to say to your dad is "Give me pocket money". nice and simple. You could give a couple of reasons and benefits he'd get from giving u pocket money, like you would learn how to manage money better and learn the value of a dollar, and you think you're responsible and mature enough, blah blah blah. it's easy to think up. you can show him a benefit by saying that you'll never ask him to buy you anything, you'll buy it with your own money. if he doesen't agree you can ask to do chores or any other work to earn money.

  12. Well, make sure that he see's both sides. If you do jobs around the house for him, then he pays you cash. I empty the dish washer and put the dishes away every day. I vacuum the whole main floor twice a week. At the end of the week I get 5 bucks. I wish I got 8 bucks though.........................

  13. ask him if there is anything you can do it week so that you get some money. in my house i iron the clothes and get paid £10 lol

  14. Ask your Dad for 'Girl's stuff.'

If not then just tell him that you need money for going out with friends and what not and if all else fails do work around the house.

Avoid saying things like 'Dad, you know I love you.'

Because then he'll just think 'here we go.' Be nice and only ask when he's in a good mood.

  15. Offer to do chores to earn the money.

  16. Have you tried asking your mam and dad together instead of playing them up against each other let them no that you want pocket money and you will not expect money every day tell them you are responsible enough to make your money last and if not they can stop your pocket money

  17. I just tell them to hand it over, or I report them to Immigration.

  18. Just casually at dinner time, when your all sat around the table mention that 'do you know the average amount of pocket money a 11 year old gets is £10 per week'

when they have stopped choking, discuss.

  19. I think you should just wait until they offer, or at least until they aren't as stressed. I hate asking my dad for money - and mine's for important things like tuition fees and rent

  20. just like suttily ask and if they say no keep saying that you cant go to the movies with your friends coz you have no money and make em feel guilt :P

and if say they give you the movie money save it up then buy it

  21. What is the thing you want? If it is something he thinks is cool then just tell him what you want and he might be really excited. If it isn't something he wants then you will have to present it to him very cleverly.

  22. wen u get it tell me

  23. Tell your parents that you will tell your guidance counciller at school that they beat you if you don't get the $.

  24. spike their drinks with moonshine then ask.

  25. Learn one of the facts of life early. There is no such thing as a free dinner. Ask what jobs your parents can give you to earn some money. Your parents have to earn it. They feed, clothe and accommodate you for free. Why should they also give you money for doing nothing?

  26. Try selling something on ebay to raise the cash instead.

  27. hey dad i need money for a book. (not really) and h**l give you it.

  28. Ask him when you and him are eating dinner, lunch, breakfast

  29. before ya go to bed be like dad i need some money so i can hang with my friends... it works for me
