  1. The most common form of sinker is a chunk of metal with a split in it. You place the line in the split and crimp the weight onto the line. Other forms have loops at one end where you pas the line through, then pass the weight through the loop to make a knot.

  2. 1. string one end through sinker's loop or ring.

    2. make small to medium sized loop in line.

    3. now wrap that line around the top of the loop, or around the same line about 4-6 times.

    4. after wrapping line- stick free end  through the loop that you made

    5. now pull down on wrapped line and the straight line coming from rod and pull tight.

    6. give a firm but slow test pull and watch for line slippage.

    good luck

  3. One type has a slit down the middle of the sinker and you just lay your fishing line in and either squeeze the sinker together with your fingers or a pair of pliers.  The other type has a built in eyelet and you simply thread your line through that and tie it securely so that the sinker stays in selected position

  4. Depends on what type of sinker that you are using HOW old R U ??????

  5. Most sinkers are little silver balls with a notch cut into them you stick it on your line a little ways from the hook and push the notch closed with your fingers or pliars. It's not that hard

  6. if it's a split shot, you just place the line in the split, lay it on a solid surface, and tap it with a hammer. if it's the type with eyes on the ends, you thread the line through them before you attach the hook.
