How do you attach the sheer fabric and twinklelights to the head table without the tablecloth slipping?

I have two 6' tables to be put together for the head table. I have linen tablecoths and want to attach 54" wide sheer fabric to it with strings of clear lights behind. Need answer ASAP!! can't figure it out myself.

  1. Go to a craft store and buy a bag of large safety pins in the jewelry making area. These will work great for you, are cheap, and will make 'bunching' it together easier to. The silver of the pins won't even show under the fabric if you pin it under the 'bunched' up part.

    Another suggestion would be to use white thin ribbon to hold it together and pin the ribbon from under the linens.


  2. There are plastic clips that are usually used to secure a table cloth in place.  You could use these for what you're trying to do.  They are available at any party store - check near the plastic table cloth section.
