How do you attract visitors to a blog?

I've just started on the blogging scene, my blogs are at makeslifeeasier.blogspot.com and iratejournaling.blogspot.com, and I know that it may take some time before I really start to develop a reader base. But I just wanted to know, besides having interesting and regular content, how do you attract readers?

Create a video and upload it to YouTube with your URL flashed on the screen. All of these are free.

I would steer away from traffic exchanges. They can get you in trouble with ad networks if you show ads on your blogs.

4. Post regularly - for instance, every weekday morning.

5. Thank people who leave comments or link to you.
