  1. I don't think two people stay the same -- they change.

The trouble in marriage comes when one or both take for granted that they know the other, based on the past.

Encouraging each other to try new things that grow from interests and then sharing those with the other gets rid of the same old, same old.

    Well, that's my answer.

    C. :)

  2. Two words... s*x shop!!

  3. don't see each other too much. if i had a friend and all she did was hang around the b/f she would be gone.

  4. Keep it fresh by role playing and by breaking out of the habit stuff ....like dinner at the same time and the same thing on Mondays...etc....bedtime routines.....sexual positions...try new things ....have a happy go lucky attitude and go with the flow....always anticipate your mate coming and going.....

  5. Keep your promises, be a friend, love often and don't cheat.

  6. There is nothing wrong with a daily routine.

You can plan carefully, trust and predict, what your partner will do or not do.

Daily routine is important for a stable relationship.

  7. Swinging works for some.

  8. Lots of long weekends away from everyone but each other.

  9. 1. Keep a gratitude journal of the things you are thankful for   in your relationship. Every day write something in it.

    2. Do something every day to celebrate your relationship. It can be a small gesture like having a candle burning on your kitchen table while you are eating dinner, or a fresh cut flower.Something small yet thoughtful. Not for him but for "us" (both of you).

    3. Take turns planning something special to do together weekly.

    4. Invite a couple or family members over once a month for dinner or to do something together. ( Just a foursome keep it small and intimate)

    5. Take a class together ( a cooking class, or learn to paint, or a wine class anything you both would like to know more about)

    6. Have a date night

Once you start something you will begin to get excited about your night to make a plan ( on your week end) . Enjoy your life and your relationship. it may be difficult to get into the "routine" of adding some activity and enjoyment into your lives together but once you get started you will have so much to look forward to. best wishes.

10 points for you for looking for ideas to get out of a rut.

    Light & Light,

  10. Why avoid it?  Nothing wrong with routines.  It's not like you can avoid it anyway.  You have to get up and go to work nearly every day unless you're rich or married to a rich guy.

  11. Get into extreme sports.

*Crystal Star, you just made me throw up!

  12. Avoiding a routine in a long term relationship, realistically, isn't very avoidable since we are, by nature, creatures of habit (and routine). BUT, rather than looking at that as a negative, embrace it as a positive.  Routines aren't necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy the routine.  If you have a healthy relationship, you two can look forward to enjoy routine together :-)
