How do you avoid stepping in a wasps nest?

Wasps usually make their homes hidden in the ground or in trees. One tip would be to choose dirt roads rather than long grass because you would see one. Go to Wikipedia and search Wasp. Look around the site for homes and there is a great picture that introdruces the shapes and sizes of the different types of nests. Another suggestion would be that don't go out at night since you have no idea where you're going (well, of course unless you have nightvision goggles on!) Finally, like someone said before me, just simply watch your step for suspicous looking rocks. They may or may not be nest, so don't be curious and poke them!  :)  Happy Camping!

Look down before you step...This is so weird, when we were kids we use to go dig in the ground in wasp nests, as kids and throw them into spiders nest to watch them fight.  Well so much for that.  Get you some bug spray!
