  1. if its a new fan..it should have come with balancing weights..if its an old one...then take the blades off and wash them real good...after re-installing the blades and its still not balanced..then go to a hardware store and buy some...they usualy clip right onto the blade

  2. Measure each blade tip to the ceiling. Bend the blade which is the odd one at the motor up or down until they are all even.usually this fixes the problem

  3. trial and error.

tape a penny to the top of one blade. turn on the fan,did the wobble get better or worse? try another blade. do this for all the blades, then pick the one that wobbles least and move the penny up and down on that blade. if it works best at the tip of the blade but still wobbles try a larger coin.  when you find the right place and the right weight use a very good tape or the coin will fly off, usually in the middle of the night.

    good luck

  4. Balancing kits can be bought at a hardware store, or an equally effective method is taping a quarter to the top of one of the blades. Move the quarter from blade to blade until you notice the wobble stop. Once you've found the blade, tape it really well to ensure it doesn't come off.
