  3. Count how much of each element you have on each side and times by the amount needed to make it the same amount and put the figure in front.

    Na = 2                                                  Na =1

    C = 1                                                    C = 1

    O= 6                                                     O = 4

    N = 1                                                    N = 1

    So to make Na Balance

    Times the right side by 2

    and put 2 infront of the Na on the right side.
