How do you beat need for speed most wanted?

I'm in the chase with all the cop cars. Is there an easy way to beat it or do you just have to use the regular pursuit skills? No matter where i go there is a police car...do you just keep driving until you get a road with no police?

Check your map for hiding spots and markers to take out cop cars.  

What I do is, take them out using markers, stay within the same area on the map, then hide.  Also stay off the freeway & highways, it's easier to lose them in the city limits, such as hide in the truck company parking lot, etc......  Hope this helped.
