What do you do to pull yourself back up when your depression is really intense and you're low? Having a bad day and to make it worse there's not even a trigger I can indentify and try to tackle.

Looking for something I can do at home that can occupy my mind.

  6. I would suggest doing something that will make you laugh, if you can go see your friends do that and dont talk to them about your problems as that is just bringing them into the arena with your friends and the reason you are with them is to forget your problems, so talk about useless things and just have fun, maybe even go to the cinema or go a walk with a friend, I find that always helps :) There will be light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

  7. watch a movie, go for a walk

  8. A trigger, eh? You really know about depression. Well, don't dwell on it just sing a song. Here's one.

'With my finger on the trigger

and my foot in a bucket

I give a little snigger and

    I shout out

'Never mind the bills are due

    or if Santa isn't true

and I wanna use the loo

I've got the what can I find to do?

    blues'

Think of a tune for it and smile for Gawd's sake.

Get out and do something for yourself.  Quit thinking about your problems and think of others that may be worse off than you.  Your situation could be worse but it will get better.  If you know the Lord give all your troubles to Him and He will give you the peace that passes all understanding.

Yeah I get like that, I find getting out in the countryside helps a lot, greenery, open skies, puts it all in perspective somehow, listening to the birds sing and the leaves rustling knowing mother nature is ticking away, and always will be gives you a sense of peace, even a nice park or municipal garden would do, just get out there!

  20. Well if READING a good novel doesn't help or socializing with friends doesn't seem to cheer you up. You may need to consult a doctor.

Don't listen to the IDIOTS who tell you to USE DRUGS they probably would love to see you self destruct.
