How do you beat the egyptian god crds in yu-gi-oh?

yea they are illegal to use, but if you want to beat them. you need a fast deck. you dont give him a chance to get his god out. destroy everything when it comes on the field.

well u can try ojama cards to block his 5 monster zones. or if u can last, slifer can be defeated if u can limit ur opponents hand and summon something strong like five headed dragon. his atk will decrease by 2000 but will still be 3000 strong. obelisk is only at his best with other monsters on ur opponents side of the field. so get rid of those quickly and just use brute strength to finish him off.and for ra once again u will need brute strenghth . maybe if u have tyranno infinity and many dinosaurs in ur graveyard. ur opponent attacks u activate survival instincts. ur attack goes up by like 15000 and number of monsters dont change so they run into a brick wall.ra i only know can be defeated in a burn deck best sinc ur opponent will take advantage of life point tansfer which u will like to see. sometimes u can only work around them.also, ra attack and defense is 0 when special summoned make them do that and they will be tempted to burn their life points. spells work 4 the first turn they are summoned. if they r destroyed this way they do not come back from graveyard.hopes this helps.

For blocking off monster zones...try ground collapse (takes up two spaces) and Ojama King (when summoned, block up to 3 monster card zones) but find a way to summon a fusion thugh...cuz Ojama king is a fusion...I suggest a light ritual that allows you to ritual summon any light monster)

Limit his hand at anyway possible...if for spell and trap card block off...make sure he has them face down for this.... Xing Zen Hu( blocks 2 face down spell or trap cards from being used.)

if all of these work...add something like final countdown into your deck (after 20 turns you auto-win =D) that or jus s***w him over w/ direct attacks =P

And God Cards were banned cuz no one knew their effects well enough...

As to how you can defeat them, remember that they are only immune to effects that TARGET them. This means Lightning Vortex, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Smashing Ground, Fissure, Hammer Shot, Widespread Ruin, etc. can all be used to destroy them since those cards do not target.

Another way is to limit the number of monster zones by using Ojama Trio (limited to 1), Ojama King, Ojama Knight or Ground Collapse.

Ok in one of my other questions I answered I copied his answer. These are the true powers of the Egyptain God Cards.

The ENGLISH God Cards have nothing but flavor text, but the original cards made in japan have these effects written on them: (translated roughly into English)

All three cards say: 3 tributes are required to Special summon. Once on the field, this card is unaffected by Spell Cards, Trap Cards, and the effects of monsters. Attacks can be negated/prevented for only 1 turn. If Special Summoned from the graveyard, this card returns to the graveyard during the End Phase.

Then each card has it's own follow up effect:

Slifer the Sky Dragon: The ATK/DEF of this card is 1000 x cards in your hand. If the opponent summons a monster, the monster lose 2000 ATK. If the ATK of that monster is set to 0, by this effect, the monster is destroyed.

Obelisk the Tormentor: Tribute 2 monsters to destroy all opponent's monsters and inflict 4000 effect damage. This monster cannot attack during same turn this effect was activated.
