Involve yourself in all its activities.

Prove yourself as its leader from the grass-root.

Ascend in the ladder of the party organisation.

Ensure that you are regarded by all in the party that you are important

Grab the opportunity to contest the election for a seat in the Parliament.

Make a mark in the Parliament.

When your turn comes for being elected as the leader of the elected members of your party, grab it or if that opportunity does not come your way, create it.

ulugam is more or less right there, you need to start from the bottm up. but the fact that the best jobs in politics seem to be taken by the most retarded fcukers makes you believe that any1 can get there. but you would need to seem like a die hard fan of the party you would join to get to the top and show loyalty until you get to the top, then you can sack every 1 and get real life people in to do real life jobs!!!
