I was reading about Al Franken and Bill Bradley, two very respectable men, who seem to have going up and jumped into running for Senate. I've read several of Franken's books and think he is brilliant, and I don't know much about Bradley than what I read on wikipedia. But they have seems to have decided to run for Senate with nothing but thier wits behind them, is it really possible to do that, or do you need to climb the ladder from Mayor to Governor or anything?

  1. You have to acquire enough signatures to place you on the ballot in your state.  You also have to be at least 30 years old.  Other than that, you are probably on the ballot.  If you want to win, people will have to vote for you so you will also need some money... your own or donations.

I wouldn't brag about Al Franken.  He's not the most popular guy around...  Just take him with a grain of salt, like you should with any author.

  2. By doing the bidding of corporations.

    Corporate capitalism is basically fascism.
