How do you become US Citizen and/or resident if your a student with advanced placement classes in AVID he is in the football team and highly active in church with a good GPA of 3.8 or so hopping to legalize yourself to be a lawyer and he lived in the USA since he was 5 and hasn't been out of the US since? (please my friend is a great guy and hopes to be a lawyer or FBI agent he is in High school and is a sophmore and has great dreams hopping to one day come true)

  1. You don't.  He will have to go back to his own country before he is 18 1/2 years old and apply to come back legally here.  


  2. Don't listen to that ignorant who answered your question first. Tell your friend to get an immigration lawyer ASAP. Tell him not to leave the country for ANY reason or else he will be in serious trouble to get back. Your friend will have to become a resident first. Since he has been in the US for such a long time I am sure there has to be some laws that will benefit him. The best thing to do is to go to an immigration lawyer. Most of the people here will be either making stupid comments about immigrants or just trying to guess. Also make sure he goes with a real immigration lawyer, there's a lot of people out there (such as some public notaries) who charge you money to give you immigration advice when they are not qualified to do so.

  3. Deport illegals, and keep the dream alive.
