  1. If you had that kind of money you wouldn't be asking on Yahoo answers you'd have financial advisors who would get you the answer or you would fire them.

  2. Hit the lotto or have a famous daddy.

  3. If you have about $100 million to blow, just to get the operation off the ground, you're well on the way. You have to figure as a one car team you need:

Shop/Racetrack personnel, about half of which are engineers and command a six figure salary.

A shop, at least 50 thousand square feet, probably upwards of 100 thousand, at the current real estate value in Charlotte

Cars, at LEAST 5 or 6 to run one season, at 150K a pop for a race ready car (and any cost to rebuild/replace wrecked cars)

Engines, I'd say at least ten in your engine shop rotation, a 'Cup motor is about 45K to build, and you have to build one a week

Transmissions, rear ends, shock, springs, panhard rods and other assorted chassis components, probably about 50K a season

Shop tools and equipment, including fabrication equipment, an engine dyno, chassis dyno, shock dyno, spring rater, 4 post shaker machine, welders, fabricating tools, hand tools, etc... about a million and a half

A driver, annual salary varies from high six figure to $4 to $5 million

Two haulers to go to the track each weekend, about $1 million a piece

Drivers coach and team coaches, REALLY nice RV's about 250K a piece.

Drivers equipment (firesuits, helmets, HANS devices) about 7-8K

I'm sure I forgot some stuff (a lot in fact) but theres an idea of what it takes, just to get started. And you have to figure, established, top 20 teams cant even find a sponsor to foot the bill for the season, so an unestablished, unknown owner would be lucky to get get Julio's Thongs for Men on the hood of the car for 10K

  4. By having millions, if not billions of dollars (at least for cup series ownership) and a good business plan.  You have to be able to secure sponsors, which means hiring a marketable driver and fielding competitive cars.  It is much less expensive to own truck teams and each series you move up gets more expensive to be competitive in.  Good luck!

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  5. money

  6. Yep it cost about $20 MILLION a year to keep a car on the track and that is AFTER you already get it there.

(I once read that when Jr. was still in the Bud #8 and I was still a fan of his....I just can't remember where I read it though.)

  7. Get access to an unlimited supply of money and you can own anything you want.
