How do you become a UK armed police officer?

You need to be a good normal Police officer, a very good one, and then apply through your force's internal system.

You need to show exceptional calmness and decision making abilities and be very very assertive without being aggressive, which is not easy.

You need to join regular police first. Armed police officer is a specialisation. You will need to do standard 2  year probationary period, and then get a few years service before you can specialise in this role! Cheers
