  1. The vast majority of caddys are PGA tour professoinals.  They are guys who were good enough to make the mini-tours (like the Nationwide tour); but not the big boys tour.  During their time on the mini-tours they establish relationships with with the golf community (and I'm not talking the local country club; rather the professional PGA community) and they start caddying for others and put the word out they would be interested in caddying for the pros.  They then go through a interview and trial period and then they are a caddy.


  2. I found this website that tells you everything a caddy does. A caddies job is tough, but if you really want to do it go for it. Read this web page and at the bottom you can click to start training to become one.
