  1. First you have to be a Patrol Officer for about 3 years than if you are good enough they will promote oyu and ask if you would like to be a Detective for the agency. Preety much you have to start out as a Patrol officer

Right now I'mm an aspiring detective.To become a detective you need at least two years of being a patrol officer,then either you can approach you superior and ask to become a detective OR they will approach you.But you have to be good at patrol.They associate a good detective with good patrol officers.Of course I would rather skip being an officer all together (No offence) but I can't.

  3. Well, i'm not a police officer, but my uncle is. He spent a couple years as a street cop (I think you only need to do it 1 year, but he liked the job) and you're eligable, it's like a promotion I think.
