How do you become a good anime artist????????

Question

I luv anime so much and I wanna draw my own anime characters does anyone know how those professional anime drawers draw there anime do they look at a person and draw an anime version of that person ? And how can I become a good anime drawer. ( Please don't give me any boring sites to look for that has like 20 pages of reading )

Well I can tell you that drawing anime isn't easy, you have to put a lot of detail.

I go to a trade school and my trade is design and visual. The teacher always tells me that I draw good. But I don't draw anime. I draw cartoons. I also try to draw anime, and I can, it's just not my thing. I watch avatar the last airbender(i know it's not an anime) and when I do draw anime I refer to that and Full Metal Alchemist.

What you can do is refer to some of your favorite anime shows. It'll be much easier and give you some inspiration. I can tell you how to start the head by using guidelines.

First Draw a circle, it'll be for the cranium.

Second Draw the front side of the face with a tiny curve as a cheek bone,start at the highest elevated point on the side of the circle, the front side shouldn't be long though.

Then you put the chine by curving it and then it'll lead to the bottom jaw and finally lead up to the other side of the cranium.

its all about practice

some classes would help but if your good at it no need.

if you take classes and practice once a week you will never be successful

You go to classes. Atleast i do. First you start with basics then you learn details and changing things and more. Look for classes in your area where an anime teacher can teach you.

practice.and watch more anime.it gives you a nice idea of how anime characters should look like.

Me to =D. If you havent got any classes near you (like me) just go to a book shop and look for a drawing anime book that teaches you everything. Like talking about the human body and the proportions of your drawing (or something like that i could never explain it well XD) and have step by steps instruction on drawn bodies and faces from different angles and has pages that focuses on eyes, hands, clothes, etc. Dont expect to draw anime from your imagination just after drawing one character because it isn't easy lol. Just do alot of practice by copying the pictures out of the book and dont skip to the final character right away do all the steps before that because it helps alot and buy and notepad or something that you can doodle some of your ideas on. I been drawing anime for nearly 3 years and i have just started drawing characters from my imagination BUT i was drawing everyday and i wasnt doodling my ideas down so make sure you do ^^. It is a tedious task but its worth it lol.
