  1. First and foremost, you need to get a talent agent. Then from there get a headshot and resume. When you sign up with the agency most times there is this little box where you can write what you're really interested in doing, i.e COMMERICALS, PRINT WORK, MOVIES, TELEVISION, VOICE OVERS, EXTRA, and etc. It's really simple and your agent will look out for what you selected (you can select all) for you, (You can ask her/him specifically to look out for history channel acting oppourtunities for you) keep in mind there is a description of the person the casting directors of movies &etc the MAJORITY of the time. So don't be disappointed if you don't make the role of a history channel host when you're a white male and they were looking for an indian female (sometimes they don't decide til the DAY of the casting call WHO/WHAT KIND OF PERSON their looking for and don't want to disappoint the people &try to see if the other people coming would fit any other parts) Sorry, i know this is getting pretty long, but if you have any other questions, just email me:)

  2. i know someone (my dad's friend) who is on the history channel all the time talking about stuff and has been in i think 7 history movies. i don't know how he got into it, but he's an avid member of many civil and revolutionary societies and reanactments. try joining some of these, become a member of the gettysburg reanactments on july 1,2 and 3 and start from there. who knows? maybe you'll get hooked up with someone.

the only other thing i can tell you is to get an agent?

    good luck
