Are my possible choices good for becoming a teacher and if not then what would you suggest I take? and also what are the steps to becoming a teacher..lyk do I have to go to university? n how long for?

And also, How much do they earn per year??

  1. sry i do not know

  2. a teaching course @marys in blackburn

  3. Honey, what are you asking us for. Why don't you discuss it with your teachers. The answers you get here are OK but they will not give you the in-depth information that you need. This is not the forum to be asking such a serious question.

  4. You would need to get your B Ed,Bachelor in Education Degree from any university doing teacher training courses,,you then become an NQT newly qualified teacher for one year in your chosen year group/school and from then become a fully qualified teacher,,It will take about 4 to 5 years in the UK from when you start university,In todays wages you will start on about 22K,but as you take on more subjects and heads of subjects your wages will increase,

  5. I'll make it simple!

GCSEs - you definitely need to have A-C in English, Maths and Science.

A-Levels - I needed 3 A Levels, pretty much at A-C again, although it'll vary depending on the university of your choice.

Degree - you will definitely need a degree. You can either do a BEd course, which is usually 4 years and takes you straight into teaching at the end. OR do a degree in something remotely linked to education, then complete a 1 year teaching course (either a PGCE or GTP) You cannot become a teacher without a degree of some kind.

My advice (as bad as it sounds 'cos I'm a teacher!) is not to go into teaching-it's not getting any easier and there is SO much work to do it's ridiculous. Go into I.T. instead-my brother's a computer engineer: he earns £30,000 a year and I earn £27,000! He works 9-5 then goes home and relaxes, which I never do!

  6. after getting your GCSEs and A Levels, you need to do a 3 or 4 year BA in education with QTS. i wouldn't recommend doing a PGCE because, although you have a lot of knowledge in your original degree subject, one year is not long enough to prepare you for a class of 30 children! if you are 100% certain that you want to go into teaching, then do the BA. however, it's a very hard job, not for the faint of heart, and you won't be earning 30k until after a few years and even then, only if you work in/near london.

  7. yOU EARN ABOUT 30K A YEAR

  8. Primary school teaching you can either do a 3/4 year degree course in education studies and then you are quilified.

Or do a degree of your choice and then do a PGCE primary which lasts for a year.

It depends on where you live in how much you earn - normally starting wage is 18K-20K

  9. Go to university

  10. After a levels, apply to do either: Ba or bsc in chosen subject followed by a pgce in total this will take four years. Alternatively you can apply to do a four year Ba, Bsc combined with teacher training which gives you the advantage of starting teaching practice right form the start of your course, possibly the best option if you are sure you wish to persue a carrer as a teacher. Many courses are subsidised by the teacher training agency especailly subjects such as meths and sciences in order toattract more to this profession,. check the teacher training agency website for details on this. You can expect to start earning at least 20 k a year as newly qualified teacher, and more in london. It is essential that you gain at least c grade in maths and english so it is good that you expect your grades to be a and b's. It is a very fulfilling career so take the time to research and check the website i have suggested. By the way, Roehampton Institute in London is excellent for teacher training check it out. Good luck in your career.
