  1. Real Estate school. But, the market it really down right now, and its a terrible time for that! I know so many Realtors that had to find another Career because of the housing market. I suggest you find something else to do!

  2. Find out from your local Department of Real Estate what the requirements are to apply to take the exam. You can find out on line for instance in California  it is www.dre.ca.gov Good Luck

  3. You have to take a specific class and then pass the real estate exam for your state and the national portion.  Then you get a license but you still have to work for a company for a few years until you have more experience.  The class is long where I am and the test is tough but not that tough.  Start now and you could have your license in about 2 months.

  4. My name is Dean Miller, I am one of the owners of 2 RE/MAX offices in Mineola and Williston Park.  Becoming an agent is not very dificult at all, but becoming a good agent can be at times.  Search the internet for "NYState Real Estate School".  There are dozens of them out there, and probably one right in your own neighborhood.

Once you complete the 75 hour course, you will then have to take the NY State exam that costs about $50 to take.  Next you will have to have a sponsoring broker whose office you will work in.

What you want to look for in a sponsoring broker is someone who will not just throw you to the wolves and then expect you to work for them.  In order to be successful, you will need a business plan and a broker who will work with you to be successful.  We work with each of our team members and agents to put them in the best possible position to earn what they want to earn each year, while still having a good personal life.

If you want more information, or are interested in speaking, I would be more than hapy to spend some time discussing your situation and your options.  Below are 2 links to my office recruiting website and my personal sales team recruiting website.  Feel free to give me a call or send an e-mail.  All of my contact info is at www.DeanMiller.net

    Best of luck to you.
