  1. In the same way you become a flat jockey - learn your trade!

You could go to one of the many racing schools that will teach you how to ride a racehorse, or you could start working for a trainer and learn about the job there.

These days a lot of jump jockeys come through the Pony Racing circuit.  This is basically a flat race series run in Ireland, and now a few in the UK, for children to race their ponies against each other.

  2. with lots of guts and HEART

you will have to learn so much about jumping ,racing

it;s a very tough sport and they fall alot

As long as you REALLY LOVE HORSE RACING AND HORSE'S AND HAVE GUTS YOU CAN DO IT

But by no means is it like flat racing or jumping in a arena

everything is done at fast speed

You do have your stirrup's a bit longer then a flat Jock

It more like 3 day eventing but at a faster speed and with ofh say 15 to 20 horses

Go to a training farm learn how to gallop first

then go to a 3 day trainer learn how to jump

Then go to a farm that does steeple chase horses

    or just start with them

You might have to start at he bottom first

then you can see first hand if you really like it
