How do you become an acteress / singer?

Question

like i know about how you need an agent and everything and even getting one of those is unlikely, but are there any sites or anything about how to get an agent or anything?

ps. im 13 and live in illinois if that helps at all.

please please please have an answer. im so wanting to be an actress.

Well I would start of byyy

1. If you don't have any experiance, get some. It is hard to get a role even with tons of experianceee, so without it would be even harderr.

2. Get a headshot. This is very important when you are trying to get a job.

3. Make a resume. List all of your experiance, training, and special skills.

4. Find jobs. You can go on websites and talk to other actors to find talent agencies or an audition.

Here's the fun thing about acting. You need an agent so you can get work, BUT you need work so you can get an agent. There's only one small exception to this rule: community theatre.

so

1.) do as much community theatre as physically possible

2.) hope you can actually act/sing

3.) take all the classes for acting and singing that you can find

4.) try to do student films

5.) prove to the world that your better than the 10 million OTHER actors

6.) research agents in your area and submit a headshot and resume and hope they might glance in the trash can and see your shining picture

7.) don't be stupid and get scammed of all your money

8.) if your not better than your whole town/school and are the prettiest and best actress, good luck

I know I may sound harsh, believe me I have to be. I am a young working actress/model and it's these few thingsthat have guided me through the business. Have a tough skin and find some books about the biz. Just know in order to compete you have to sacrafice your entire life for this, because 10 million other people just like you are doing the exact same thing. OMG! I don't believe your 13 I think your probably like 7 idk

but they have to discover you you can't find them they have to find them and oyu have to go to lots of audtions and you never start out on a tv show your usually gonna start on commercials I got discovered once trust me it was a total SCAM but I don't think being a actress and singer is a good thing to do.
